Familiarity with the field of jurisprudence and law
Knowledge of jurisprudence is the oldest and most original discipline of religious and Islamic sciences, the foundations of which belongs to the Holy Prophet time, peace be upon him and his family, and due to the vast need of Muslims for divine commands in their daily lives has grown. This knowledge was one of the main topics of interest in religious schools before the university establishment in their present form. And now, students of religious schools still teach jurisprudence as the most central subject, but with the university establishment, this knowledge for the first time as an academic discipline, founded at Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
Jurisprudence in the word means the absolute belief or precise understanding of theoretical issues and in the term, it is the extraction and inference of religious rules from religious sources such as the Qur'an, Sunnah, reason and consensus. After believing in God and his heavenly religion, man, Islam, because he considers himself a creature of God, considers it necessary to perform his behavior and deeds in all aspects of life according to the heavenly law and Islamic law. Since the commandments and prohibitions of the Shari'a are not clear in all events and situations, so determining the duty of man before the heavenly Shari'a requires a thorough scientific discussion and extensive study. Therefore, a science emerged among Muslims to be responsible for discovering and organizing these tasks in a codified way. This knowledge is the same as jurisprudence, which is a reasonable acquaintance with determining the religious duty of man in the face of every event and religious duty. That is, the manner of behavior that obedience to religion compels man to act according to it. As a person in determining the action rules, needs a religious authority arising from jurisprudence. The administration of society and government to exercise its sovereignty through institutions and systems needs a religious authority, which jurisprudence is responsible for, in the field of systematization.
